It's so fun when we get to meet up in "real life" and hang out.
Next month, a group of us are all rooming at SCBWI and I cannot wait!!
Nyrae Dawn and I are practically neighbors, and love to get together.
Last night was EPIC.
Our favorite singer/songwriter/winner of prettiest-man-alive-award, Bobby Long was doing a private reading from his new book of (gorgeous) poetry and he sang a few songs, and told a few stories and was charming and witty and all of the things that make you want to gobble him up (Or, give him an awkward hug, step on his foot, and become a mute as he signs your book...)
Something he said last night reminded me SO MUCH of Ben's character in BEAUTIFUL THINGS NEVER LAST, ahhh I can't wait to share that book with you!!
Anyway!
Being an author gives you the BEST co-workers on the planet.
