Q&A

1.

Someone found my blog by googling, "When will LENGTHS by Steph Campbell & Liz Reinhardt be made into a movie?"
You, googler, are a genius. And that is a fabulous question! ;)

To answer it for you, the rights have not been optioned to Lengths (or any of my other novels) so, sadly, for now, the answer is, it won't be. (But Liz and I would sure love to see the sandy, sexy, fun book we wrote translated onto screen someday!)

2.

I've had a few emails about whether or not LENGTHS will be made available in other formats (kobo, smashwords, ibook, etc...)

I *think* soon-ish. I'll be honest, I sort of fail at all of the technology stuff. I just like to write. So, I promise to look into it (i.e. have someone format all of my books in the next few weeks here) and they will all be made available in multiple formats soon!

3.

I had a reader contact me asking about the status of FRIEND IS A FOUR LETTER WORD. (This book was to be the 3rd in 4 companion books. So the chronological order  in the books would have been Delicate, Grounding Quinn, Friend is a Four Letter Word, and Beautiful Things Never Last. )

If you're ultra observant (like said reader) (which I love, by the way.) you would have noticed that the cover and blurb for FRIEND IS A FOUR LETTER WORD has been taken down from Goodreads and I haven't talked about it much.

That's because, for now, I've decided to shelve it. FRIEND IS A FOUR LETTER WORD is Shayna (Quinn's sort of friend) and Carter's (Quinn's older brother) story. And I love it. But it isn't finished. I stopped writing it because I couldn't shut Quinn and Ben up in BEAUTIFUL THINGS NEVER LAST. Their story was so strong and I had to stop what I was doing and write it. First.

I still love FRIEND IS A FOUR LETTER WORD. I love the characters. And I want to finish it and do it justice. The thing is, the way it's written now, it takes place before BEAUTIFUL THINGS NEVER LAST. And I really want to release BTNL in December like I've promised to do...

so,

I can do a couple of things. Keep it the way it is and release it after BTNL even though the timing is off (like Quinn was released before Delicate even though it takes place a year before...) or rewrite it to happen afterward.

I'd like to do the latter. I've had a lot of readers upset over spoilers in Delicate after reading Quinn first, and I hate upsetting people.

So, for now, FiaFLW is still happening, but just not in the near future like I had originally hoped.

4.

People have asked if Liz and I are going to write together again.

The answer is YES! We actually had another idea for a book at the same time we were writing LENGTHS. I takes place in the days leading up to Christmas, and will be out in time for the holidays this year!

  1. I can be patient but I love the idea of FiaFLW. LOL. I love how writers always shorten titles into funny little words. But I'm kinda glad I get more Ben first. ;0) Oh and Quinn. Her too.

  2. Thank you for answering my question about FiaFLW! I do hope you rewrite it and publish it later. I can't wait for BTNL. :)

  3. It all sounds great! I was kind of relieved when I read Delicate that I knew she was gonna be ok, because I get way anxious about stuff like that. It's a prequel, that's just the nature of the game.

  4. I'll take them in whatever order you want to put them out. Love Quinn so looking forward to that especially. she strongly reminds me of someone from my past.

I am able to convert any ebook format to any other ebook format if you ever
    need a hand with that.

  5. Oh, I gotta get reading. I've only read Grounding Quinn, but Delicate was next on the list.

I love how you say you couldn't shut Ben and Quinn up. That's about how it goes sometimes.
